Ministry at Trinity UMC
Ministries and programs at Trinity UMC are focused into three Work Areas within the church: Outreach, Nurture, and Evangelism. In reality, every successful ministry or program will accomplish all three of these. All ministries have "ONE" ultimate purpose: everything we do, both as individuals and as a community, should be a demonstration of God's love for us in Jesus Christ.
The image of the field of wheat symbolizes this concept of ministry: when the farmer tills the ground, she or he is already anticipating the harvest. For Christians, the harvest is the New Creation that God is bringing about – that reign of justice and love when poverty, war, and death are no more. Every Christian ministry and program anticipates and hopes for the time when God's gift of life will be fully realized.
OUTREACH
Outreach Ministries take seriously the commandment of Jesus to "love our neighbors as ourselves." We believe that we have an obligation to address the brokenness of human life in the name of Jesus Christ, to come alongside others in their needs. Outreach Ministries at TUMC seek to reveal God's abundance in the midst of our many poverties and include:
Community Coffee Café
Trunk or Treat at Halloween
Vacation Bible School

NURTURE
Nurturing Ministries focus on caring for the community called Trinity UMC. One of the valuable things the local church still offers society at large is a place where everyone belongs, everyone is supported, and no one is alone. Nurturing Ministries include:
Trinity Singers, Adult Spiritual Formation,
Children's Sunday School, Summer Programs for Kids,
Pastoral Care & Visitation

EVANGELISM
Evangelism Ministries build the relationships of trust needed for Jesus to be recognized as a real presence in our lives. In the power of the Divine Spirit, we focus on demonstrating and declaring the Good News that, even though he was executed on a Roman cross, Jesus was raised from the dead and is bringing the creation to new life to the glory of the Creator. We believe that while this Mystery cannot be fully explained, it can be fully experienced in the love of the Body of Christ, who are the Sacrament of the Crucified-Resurrected Christ for the world. Evangelism Ministries include:
Worship, Preaching, Bible Study,
Baptism and Confirmation, Holy Communion,
Hospitality, Fellowship, Prayer,
and Communications
