Project Transformation Tennessee
is a ministry of the
Nashville Episcopal Area
Social Justice
focused on
Childhood Illiteracy, Neighborhood Churches, and College-age Leaders
Illiteracy keeps our children from finishing high school, going to college, finding jobs,
organizing a family, and having self-esteem.
Schools in many marginalized communities lack the resources to counteract this problem.
With Project Transformation,
college-age leaders and local churches partner
to help children overcome theirs struggles with reading.
This is an act of justice and severs the connections between illiteracy and
unemployment, suicide, prison, illness, unwanted pregnancy,
addiction, and violence.
